Are You Constantly Pushing, but Never Arriving?

For 30 years, I ran my own business, juggling the demands of work, children, ageing parents, and my passion for sport. Sound familiar? My work was something I was truly passionate about, yet it was also filled with hustle, responsibility, and a never-ending to-do list. I was always striving for more, trying to be everything to everyone, but somehow, I felt like I was on a hamster wheel—moving fast but never truly getting anywhere.

I loved what I did, but despite external success, something was always off. I felt like I couldn’t find the proper balance. I was giving my all to my business, my family, and my commitments, yet there was never enough time for me, never enough space to pause and breathe. The more I pushed, the more disconnected I became from myself.

I kept telling myself, “If I just work harder, I’ll feel in control.” But instead, I felt exhausted, overwhelmed, and perpetually behind. My perfectionism and need for control kept me stuck in a cycle of stress and self-doubt. No matter how much I achieved, it was never enough.

Then, I discovered mindfulness and breathwork, and everything began to shift. For the first time, I learned to step back, breathe, and make space for myself amidst the chaos. It was like unlocking a door I didn’t even know existed.

Hello, I am Marcella O’Neill and I am a qualified Mindfulness and Positive Psychology Coach, and meditation teacher. I  work one-to-one with individuals, I also provide mindfulness courses on site, online or as a blended learning in the workplace. I studied with Irish Mindfulness Academy in Dublin. This is a unique Dual-Qualification course, scientifically validated and drawing upon research from emerging fields within Modern Psychology to present the latest thinking in Mindfulness-based interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology and Neuroscience. I am constantly training and currently I am enrolled in Eckhart Tolle’s six-month course on the teaching of presence. 

I ran a successful business for over 30 years and so I’m very aware of the challenges and demands of managing people and dealing with the public. My own personal need for greater self-care and better ways to manage stress and improve my well-being in both my personal and business life lead me to train as a mindfulness and meditation teacher. Through my own experience I recognised that mindfulness in the workplace built resilience and cultivated behavioral change to manage stress.

I am passionate about helping others to discover the benefits of Mindfulness. I believe wellbeing is a skill. My teaching develops the awareness and habit of the mind and empowers you to make meaningful changes in your personal and professional life, using valuable tools of Mindfulness that are scientifically proven through research.

At first, slowing down felt impossible. But as I learned to pause, breathe, and be present, I realised something powerful:

This shift gave me the courage to step away from my business and follow my passion—to help others break free from stress and reconnect with their true power.

My Expertise: Mindfulness, Breathwork, and Positive Psychology

I am passionate about helping you unlock your full potential through mindfulness, breathwork, and positive psychology. My expertise is grounded in extensive training and certification, including:

  • Mindfulness and Positive Psychology: I hold a Diploma in Teaching Mindfulness and Positive Psychology, completing 500 hours of instruction and demonstrating proficiency in the philosophy and practice of mindfulness, positive psychology, and meditation.
  • Certified Conscious Connected Breathwork Facilitator: I completed 250 hours of training in Conscious Connected Breathwork through the “Journey of the Breath” program with Pat Divilly.
  • School of Awakening Graduate: I completed the School of Awakening program with Eckhart Tolle and Kim Eng, focusing on living a life of presence. (Keywords: “Eckhart Tolle,” “Kim Eng,” “presence”)
  • Oxygen Advantage Advanced Instructor: As a Certified Oxygen Advantage Advanced Instructor, I have mastered functional breathing and advanced techniques, including high-altitude simulation, developed by Patrick McKeown.
